Galloping Nouvel

Across the river from Manhattan in DUMBO, Brooklyn is a new attraction.

Each night a ghostly carousel gallops around in the Brooklyn Bridge Park. This carousel is in fact a 1922 ride, painstakingly restored and donated by the wife of the major local developer and housed in a simple Jean Nouvel-designed Pavilion. Its transparent sides open up during the day and at night it becomes a magic lantern for the dramatically lit horses. See them by clicking on the link below.
